Children & Teenages

Children and adolescents face a number of challenges growing up in today’s society. It is often difficult to know when something is a ‘phase’ or a ‘problem’. At Lane Cove Psychology, the focus in the treatment of children and teenagers, aged 4 to 18, is aimed at meeting the individual needs of each young person, to encourage them to make the right choices for themselves and their families.

Drawing from years of clinical experience and empirical techniques, our aim is to work primarily with the young person. We also work collaboratively with the family, GPs, schools, and other health professional when needed to assess and help overcome any difficulties that a young person may be experiencing.

We offer extensive experience treating a wide range of difficult problems, such as self-harm behaviours, eating problems, bullying, self-esteem issues, mood disorders and psychosis.
